Clippers Talk

So the Clips are now 2-0 against the Nuggets in the NBA playoffs and I'm totally flipping my lid over them. Assuming they win the series, they'll be taking on the winner of the Lakers-Suns series. I do think that if all of the key Clipper role players don't fade throughout the playoffs, they'll have a good chance of going to the conference championship series, if not the finals.

Dog Update

Pillow talkin' with Ziggy.

Haven't blogged in awhile about the canine members of our house...

Our current count stands at 6: Ziggy, Seymour, Goldie, Scruffy, Miko, and Brownie. Two dogs for every human in the house. We will be adding a human in June, but 6 dogs versus 4 humans sounds to me like a prison riot waiting to happen.

Today, when Selena wasn't paying attention, Goldie crawled up onto our dining table and stole two slices of pizza. She managed to get away with one of them. The other slice fell on the floor only to be quickly claimed by Seymour. Seymour then dragged his slice over to our new Pottery Barn rug and proceeded to growl at any living thing that came near him. Selena then tried to discipline him and take the slice away, but it sounded like Seymour would have none of that and tried to bite her.

Ah, doggie drama.

Anyone Got a Solar-Powered Computer?

Just received in my inbox from CSULB:

As you are aware, we have experienced a campus-wide power failure. At this time, we do not know the cause, but we are addressing the problem with Edison's assistance.

Please turn off your computer and other important equipment until power is fully restored.

If necessary, future updates on this power failure will be made available through the campus voice mail system.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Gulp!

Yesterday we officially entered our third trimester. I feel somehow that I should be more urgent and concerned about planning for the birth and preparing the house, but we've been acting quite lax about it all...
