Introducing Madison Mayleen Chiu

The Chiu Girls: Kim and Maddie.

After months of waiting, worrying, and praying, our little munchkin has finally arrived on Monday, June 19th, 2006 at 11:07 PM. She weighed 8 lbs, 9.6 oz with a total length of 21".

We checked out of the hospital this past Friday and despite a few mishaps, are starting to learn the ropes of parenthood. There are naturally MANY things we worry about her, among them whether she feels too hot or too cold, whether she is getting too much or too little to eat, and how soon her low-level jaundice will go away. Kim and I are trying a rotation schedule of being on "night duty", which hopefully will allow each of us to get adequate rest during the course of the day.

For the FOUR readers out there, I will soon be launching "The Chronicles of Madison", which will contain most of the Maddie-related updates (Yes, the title is a blatant rip-off of The Chronicles of Riddick. Sorry, Vin!). This blog will continue to be updated, but will remain most of its original flavor: useless and random top 5 lists, movie reviews (when I have time to see them now!), stuff about computer games, religious and political discussions, and the like.
