Quest for the Ideal Hair Gel

My ancestors, the mongoloids, have not only passed on the epicanthal folds (i.e. slanty eyes), but absolutely crazy and unmanagable hair. I suppose it is unfair to characterize mongoloids as having crazy hair, but everytime I think of the mongoloids that existed several thousand years ago, all I can imagine are asian hut-dwellers with super-big 'dos.
Hence, this begins my quest to find the ideal hair gel. Lately, I have been using Suave "Naturals Freesia Flexible Hold Shine & Shaping Gel". The price is right, two bucks a bottle, but the quality is so-so at best. All gels claim to be flake-free, but a lot of times by the end of the day my hair is flaking up. It could be the quality of the gel, I don't know. So...are expensive hair gels worth it compared to cheap-o Suave hair gel? Even so, what brand to use? Suggestions and comments are welcome.

American Film Institute's Top 100 Movie Quotes
I love Top ___ lists. It brings order to the world. I don't care much for Dave Letterman's lists, but all other lists I like to read. The American Film Institute just released their Top 100 Movie Quotes. You can find it here.
A couple of my favorites:
- I love the smell of napalm in the morning. APOCALYPSE NOW (1979)
- Get your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape! PLANET OF THE APES (1968)
- Soylent Green is people! SOYLENT GREEN (1973)
- Nobody puts Baby in a corner. DIRTY DANCING (1987)

Feeling Minnesota

Some big axe ride thing at MOA
Just got back from a week-long training session at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. It was my first time in "MPLS" and overall I thought it was a very nice city. A few highlights of the area:
- The Mall of America (the ginormousest mall in America) is overrated. Just imagine your local mall, add another two stories of shops, and there you go...the Mall of America. The indoor rollercoaster thing really isn't that big of a deal once you see it.
- Lakes. Yes, there are a ton of them, some of which are nice to hang out at. I especially liked Lake Calhoun.
- U of M professors. Before this trip, I thought engineering professors would be less inclined to be a part of the "Ivory Tower" of academia. Boy was I wrong. Of the 6 or 7 ChemE professors I listened to, all of them were stuck in their own little research world, making suggestions and conclusions that would NEVER work in industry. Go figure.
