Good job, Lance!

So for the past 3 weeks, I've been a dedicated viewer of the OLN telecast of the Tour de France. Although I expected a bit more drama and competition, I was happy to see not only the historical performance of Lance Armstrong, but the great teamwork of the Discovery team. My favorite moment of the Tour was seeing George Hincapie winning the grueling stage 15 from Lezat-Sur-Leze to Saint-Lary Soulan. Oh, and I know it sucks but couldn't help laughing a little at Mikhael Rasmussen's time trial disaster.

Goodbye, Scotty.

James Doohan (aka Scotty from Star Trek) died today. I am sad. I love the original Star Trek series. The Next Generation is good too, but the original series rewlz. Scotty will always be the coolest engineer ever.

Jokes That are Funny AND Educational!

Taken from the Huffington Post:

Have you noticed that many of today's jokes for children don't touch on important themes? Like homophobia? or abortion? or homophobic abortion?

This is wrong. So below I offer you jokes designed to make children laugh, while opening their minds!

THREE KNOCK KNOCK JOKES to tell your kids!

Knock knock
Who's there?
Orange
Orange who?
Orange you glad you are not George Bush, who's approval level is at an all time lowest level of 47 percent?

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Aardvark!
Aardvark who?
Aardvark a hundred miles to get away from evil George Bush and his architect of evil, Karl Rove. He made illegal leaks to the press!

Knock Knock

Ada tofu salad for lunch! Killing animals is bad. I want to work for Greenpeace and become a veterinarian.

FIVE SILLY RIDDLES!

Why did the Republican cross the road?
To get away from a black person.

Why did the chewing gum cross the road?
Because the Republican was chewing it at the time he was crossing the road to get away from the black person.

How many conservatives does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Five. One to screw it in, and four to hate gay people.

What do you get when you cross a Republican with a Christian?
I don't know, but you better keep it away from your uterus.

How many islamic fundamentalists does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Why do you think they would want light bulbs? This is what foments hate against the West.

ANAGRAM BONUS SPECIAL!!!!!!
"i drive an 'evol Karr.' Who am I?"

A FUNNY BAR JOKE! (burp!)
Jann Wenner walks into a pub and sits down next to a man with a dog at his feet. "Does your dog bite?"

"No."

A few minutes later the dog takes a huge chunk out of Mr. Wenner's leg.

"I thought you said your dog didn't bite!" he says indignantly.

"That's not my dog," says the other man.

"I can't help but believe that this is in part the result of Bush's War on Iraq," says Jann, before limping out to his car.

Pachoo's note: Jann Wenner is the editor of Rolling Stone, and is a liberal Democrat.

Divorce Rate

I keep hearing (especially in Christian circles) that the divorce rate in America is 50%. So HALF of all marriages end in divorce, or so the statistics supposedly say. Here's an article just published in USA today that the U.S. divorce rate is 17.7 per 1,000 married women, down from 22.6 in 1980. Wait a sec, isn't 17.7 per 1,000 equal to 1.7%? So shouldn't the divorce rate be 1.7%?

Cuttino Mobley

Cuttino Mobley just signed a rumored 5-year deal with the Clippers. Is this the year they make it to the playoffs? I've been saying this for the past 10 years, but I really do believe they will.

Linguini with Clam Sauce

Yummmm...

This is one of my favorite recipes of all time. It is found here on Rachael Ray's 30-minute Meals on the Food Network. It only takes about 15-20 minutes to make and it's quite good! The secret seems to be the anchovies which give it a nice and light seafood-y aroma to it. I usually add a dash of spicy red pepper powder to give it a little kick.

Bangkok Street Dogs

A very interesting blog for those of you who love the doggies.

Twilight Zone Marathon

Did any of you catch the 4th of July 'Twilight Zone' Marathon on the Sci-Fi channel? Yes? That's good. Tell me how awesome it was because I couldn't watch a SINGLE EPISODE since someone (who shall remain anonymous) monopolized the TV for the entire weekend watching stupid Korean dramas.
